Wondering how can you participate?
If you’re a merchant–a retailer, a restaurant, a service business, whatever, you can participate in Art Jam by
1. Being open. Art Jam will be from 5-9 pm the fourth Friday of the month starting June 27.
2. Displaying Art Jam fliers in your store. If you’re an Art Jam participant, you will also get an Art Jam flag to hang outside for the event and you will be listed in the Art Jam map/brochure.
3. Being a sponsor. Starting at $25, you can be an Art Jam sponsor & be mentioned on fliers & on the web site.
4. Gathering and displaying the art in your store. Do you sell handmade products? Do you sell music? Do you sell artwork? Feature it for Art Jam. Move it to the front of your store. Make new signage which plays up the artistic or artisan-created features of your products.
5. Inviting an artist, musician or other performer to display in your your, demonstrate in your store, play in your store, perform in your store. You can find your own Art Jam partner, or contact Nancy at the Madison Main Street Program (ncgruner@hotmail.com or 701-9500) for suggestions. If you’re looking for a painter to partner with, Bob Saueressig (273-0552, artquest2000@hotmail.com) can help you out.
6. Serving food or drink. As you wish.
